- 3 kids were killed at a bus stop when a driver ran into them instead of stopping for the bus while the lights were on. The 3 siblings were killed while trying to cross the street to get to the bus, as reported by Indy Star.
- 1 pedestrian was killed when an Uber self-driving car struck the woman who was walking on the side of the road. It marked the first time a self-driving car was involved in a fatal car accident.
- A man was killed while riding an electric scooter. It’s still unclear what happened to the man and if he was struck by another vehicle or if the scooter itself was the cause of the death, as WP reports.
- St. Petersberg reports that over 40 people have died in car accidents in 2018, marking the deadliest year on record.
- 2 Ex-MLB players were killed in a car accident following a national game in December. The two were killed when they tried to avoid some sliding rocks, only to swerve off the road.
- 45 cars were tangled up in a major car accident in Florida during the summer. No one was killed, but the event took many hours to sort out with over 25 police officer to help get all of the details.
